Founded by designer Andra Clițan, MA RA MI draws inspiration from the fusion between Transylvanian heritage crafts with diverse cultures from around the world.
Andra’s passion for craftsmanship goes a long way, starting with her childhood encounters with artisans in her native area of Maramureș, Transylvania, and continuing through extended studies, worldwide research in the field of cultural heritage and craft and academic teaching experiences.

MA RA MI is committed to preserving ancestral techniques and creating new pieces through cultural exchange, working with heritage communities worldwide. Since its conception, the brand has been driven by sustainable collaboration with artisans and the belief that craft is living knowledge: carried through generations, protected through practice, and strengthened through continuity.
MA RA MI embraces the cultural legacy of communities around the world, engaging in co-creation to support traditional skills and ensure they endure.
