THE PROSPECT OF REPRESENTATIVE FABRICS

“Prospect” provides for an innovative venue to reflect on global cultures and conceptualizes their co-existence with the Islamic culture. Themed regions are represented through cubes of different materials, textures, and icons. As such, Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe are centered around the Ka’aba, the focal point of Islam. The work highlights the concept of crossing boarders between cultures and an ability to translate narratives.

المدى في نمذجة المنسوجات

يفتح المدى حيزا مبتكرا للتمعن في الثقافات العالمية ويصور لنا مدى تعايشها مع الثقافة الاسلامية. حيث يرتكز العمل الفني على تمثيل “ثيمة” مناطق متعددة من خلال مكعبات مختلفة المواد والملمس والرموز. فتركزت افريقا والامريكيتان واسيا واوروبا حول الكعبة المشرفة, الوجهة المحورية للاسلام. ويسلط العمل الضوءعلى مفهوم تذليل العوائق بين الثقافات والقدرة على ترجمة السرد.
