Romanian traditions shared with the world: a wool story
We embarked on a journey of authenticity where we can connect to our ancestors and rediscover the beauty of the simple things.
Our craftsmen from Maramureș taught us all the secrets they learned from their parents and their grandparents. What comes from their hands is pure magic, a real work of art created with love, passion and patience.
Their are our inspiration for the wool journey, our motivation to share the Romanian traditions with the world.
We are adding the final touches to the pieces of the collection. The wool was carefully processed and the designs are slowly coming to life. Andra Clițan was inspired by her travels around the world; she integrates small parts from every culture she discovered, turning her designs into her personal journal.
We enjoyed every moment spent in nature, at the countryside, where we connected to our craftsmen. The idea behind creating an art installation came from our fascination with antique techniques of processing wool.
Being a witness to the whole journey, we imagined how it would be like if we integrated that part in our project. If you discover how the designs were created. Nowadays, we find clothes in the fashion stores and we never ask ourselves how they are manufactured. When it comes to handmade pieces, there is whole word behind, a world that you can discover.

The art installation, that will include the pieces of the collection and the documentation of the entire process, will be exhibited in Bucharest, at KUBE Musette (Calea Victoriei, nr. 141) from October 29 to November 10, 2019. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Tuesday, October 29, starting at 6:30 pm.

Tradiții românești prezentate întregii lumi: o poveste a lânii
Am pornit într-o călătorie a autenticității, unde ne putem reconecta cu strămoșii noștri, redescoperind frumusețea lucrurilor simple.
Meșteșugarii din Maramureș ne-au învățat toate secretele învățate de la părinți și bunici. Ceea ce se naște din mâinile lor poartă o amprentă magică, adevărate piese de artă realizate cu dragoste, pasiune și răbdare.
Ei ne inspiră pe drumul lânii și devin o adevărată motivație pentru a prezenta tradițiile românești întregii lumi.
Adăugăm accentele finale pieselor din colecție. Lâna a fost procesată cu grijă, iar creațiile prind viață. Andra Clițan s-a inspirat din călătoriile ei în jurul lumii; integrează detalii fine din fiecare cultură descoperită, transformând colecția într-un adevărat jurnal personal.
Ne-am bucurat de fiecare moment petrecut în natură, la țară, unde ne-am conectat cu meșteșugarii noștri. Ideea din spatele creației unei instalații de artă provine de la fascinația noastră pentru meșteșugurile străvechi de prelucrare a lânii.
Deoarece am devenit martorii întregului proces, ne-am imaginat cum ar fi dacă am integra și această parte în proiectul nostru. Dacă ai putea descoperi cum sunt create piesele de design. Astăzi, găsim haine în magazinele de modă, însă nu ne întrebăm niciodată cum sunt fabricate. Când vine vorba de piesele handmade, există un întreg univers în spate, din care poți face parte.
Pășește alături de noi în povestea lânii și simte magia!
Instalația de artă, care va include piesele colecției și documentarea întregului proces de creație, va fi expusă la București, în galeria KUBE Musette (Calea Victoriei, nr. 141) în perioada 29 octombrie - 10 noiembrie 2019. Vernisajul expoziției va avea loc marți, 29 octombrie, începând cu ora 18:30.
